This page explains how PiggyMath handles optional links to third-party tools, in line with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission’s guidance on endorsements and affiliate relationships.

What you will see on calculator pages

After you run some freelancer and self-employment tax calculators, a small “Tools that help with this” box may appear under the results. Those links are optional. You can ignore them and still use every estimate on this site for free.

The numbers you type into a calculator never leave your browser. We do not send profit, expense, or filing-status inputs to any partner.

Material connection

PiggyMath is an independent educational site. We are not a CPA firm, tax preparer, bank, or e-file provider. We may join affiliate or partner programs for tools that match the job a calculator is doing — for example receipt / write-off software after a Schedule C estimate, business banking after a tax set-aside estimate, or invoicing software after a freelance-income estimate.

As of August 16, 2026, the Keeper result-screen link is a live affiliate tracking URL (Tune / go2cloud: offer_id=25, aff_id=2109). If you click that link and later become a Keeper customer, we may earn a commission. That does not change the price you pay. It does not change the calculator math. It is not tax, legal, or financial advice, and it is not a claim that Keeper is right for you.

Found is paused (Impact publisher 7638318 declined 18 Aug 2026). We do not invent a tracking ID and we do not list Found as a current result-screen tool. FreshBooks still goes to the public homepage with no affiliate parameters until PartnerStack (or Awin) issues a tracking ID. We do not invent tracking IDs.

These two do different jobs, so they can appear together when the estimate is about self-employment tax, quarterly set-aside, or related prep. We do not stack dozens of identical buttons. Mileage, Everlance, QuickBooks, and Found are not listed because we do not have a live partnership URL for them (Found is paused).

How we choose what to mention

We list a tool only when it is relevant to the calculation on that page. We do not review or rank products here, we do not promise savings, and we do not use fake testimonials. A link is a “you might look at this next” pointer after you already have an educational estimate — not an endorsement.
